The RBRC Story
Founder and Director, Sandra Traver, felt led to open the Center after a transformational journey with Dr Richard Bush in a Spiritual Formation training he developed called Life on Life Formation. Sandra has a B.A. in Christian Ministry, and has coordinated and facilitated retreats for several years. She is a certified trainer for Life on Life Formation which she leads at the Center as well as other retreats.
The purpose of the Center is to provide a place where God can continue His work of growth and restoration in the body of Christ. In Mark 6:31 Jesus invited His disciples to 'Come away with Him to a quite place and rest'. He invites us to do the same. RBRC is a sacred space of protected serenity in the beauty of creation, which is ideal for the transforming work God desires to do in us.

Spiritual Direction
Sandra offers Spiritual Direction for retreat attendees as well as individuals who would like to receive direction via Zoom.
A Spiritual Director helps another make sense of their journey with God, specifically being aware of and attentive to His presence, grace, and calling. Spiritual Directors may offer suggestions or ideas, but their job is not to give advice or counsel. That remains the role of the Holy Spirit, the true Spiritual Director. The primary goal is deepening ones relationship with Jesus.
Dr. Richard Bush
The Renewal Center bears the name of Dr Richard Bush, a humble servant of God who dedicated his life to helping others be spiritually formed by the nature and character of Jesus. Dr Bush served as a local church pastor and then in leaderhip training with the Christian and Missionary Alliance for several decades. Richard believed we need to deal with the issues beneath the surface that affect our heart, soul, mind, strength and love for others. He impacted many lives for Christ before he went home to be with the Lord on June 25th, 2020. The work God began in him continutes in the Life on Life Formation training where he often taught, 'spiritual formation happens slow, incrementally over time, with others and for others.'
